Charity Fiesta

after months of preparation, sweat and tears.. (actually it's only 2months) finally the event is less than 1 week away. Charity Fiesta '06 @ South West promises to be exciting and fun and a totally different event from what we've always been exposed to.. (as long as you are not in the planning com and have to endure all the lousy shit.... so SIGN UP as a participant where you'll only get to see the final product with all the wrinkles ironed out!) we have so many highlights i dunno where to start! firstly it's Copa Fiesta, Touch Rugby on Wheelchair. Ever experienced how the wheel chair bounded people travel ard in a typical day? How about playing a game on the wheelchair? designed to encourage empathy and understanding, this extraordinary game of Touch Rugby defies traddition and at the same time tries to encourage volunteerism.. a topic considered by many to be boring.. we also have amazing race where participants get to compete with 47 other teams of 4 in a race around singapore. but instead of going to places of interest, these teams will be going to our beneficiaries and performing activities with them. for example in the SADeaf, singapore association for the deaf, they'll be learning sign lang and passing a message to our facilitator. we also have many other little things like v-mall where the public can look for their perfect volunteering opportunity and wish-upon-a-star where the public can fulfil wishes of the beneficiaries by simply donating the item to us. And.. and.. a Concert with performers like NG Chee Yang our campus superstar.. and Bao Er Chong, the ambassador for Youth Volunteerism. The more happening youth concert will be held on 29th july from 3- 6pm.. so since it's all so exciting and taking place over the 28-30 July period in Jurong East Central what are you waiting for?
