da vinci and buffet

went for a self torturing session yesterday.. with jamie and peishan.. met jam first cos ps working... and we went to watch da vinci code. for those who haven't watch, you should read the book b4 gg.. then again after reading the book why watch? the movie is so so so... draggy.. and the scriptwriter changed a num of details from the book. i never knew that when depositing in a switz bank we are entitled to a 'safe passage clause' as had Saniueres. and i think tat the writer had a great time exaggerating the details which mock christainity perhaps that is their aim: to make everything so laughable that you dun believe the book anymore..

many details were also missing.. things like why did Fache drop the charges suddenly? or when did Fache become an opus dei member? or did i miss tat detail in the book? surely wearing a cross on your lapel doesn't mean you are an opus dei member? and i tot saniueres was training sophie to take over? wat happened to the years of training? she was just like an imbecile in the movie.. everything was solved by langdon... stupid pretty blond.. at least that's the impression i got..

before watching.. i was anticipatory.. after watching i was wondering why it's a blockbuster. perhaps it's meant to be read separately 'block' and 'buster'. it's a block of time being busted in a movie theater.. oh well enuff is enuff.. tot it would be like harry potter series.. where you take parts or chunks out to shorten the story but at least at the very least make it as exciting as the book and just as coherent..

i shall not to watch something i've read before in theaters again.. but this is something i always dun follow when the next potter movie comes up.. then my companions will suffer from my grumbles.. hee...

then we went for sushi buffet in suntec.. usually i can eat more.. and i was actually quite worried that my stomach will growl in the theater.. but this time round.. sigh.. and my tummy was stretched like a balloon gg to burst at the end of it.. poke! explode!
